Hello,

My name is Hilary, and I am a licensed mental health counselor associate. My passion for counseling comes from my love of the human experience, and the ups and downs that come with being a human. My clinical experience includes working with individuals ages 18 and older, who deal with issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, self-harming behaviors, trauma, relationship problems and a desire for personal growth or to change the negative cycles and patterns that sometimes arise in our lives. I have a special interest in working with women during the perinatal period, or those who are struggling to find themselves amidst the challenges that come with the transition to parenthood and beyond.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, and understanding. I believe in the individual’s ability to enact real change and know that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of counseling. The healing that happens inside and outside of therapy will be client directed, and therapist supported, as I blend modalities such as acceptance and commitment therapy, IFS, and Lifespan Integration, amongst others, to encourage healing and change. I know firsthand thatlife can be difficult, relationships can feel impossible, and often we get stuck in negative thought or relational patterns that bring us down and deter us from showing up as our authentic selves. I wholeheartedly believe that together, we can overcome life’s challenges, and find ways to live in alignment with cherished values.
